Why?
They were originally designed because I got annoyed with recoating crash bars every time they got scraped to bare metal so they wouldn't rust and couldn’t find sliders that weren’t too pricey or not robust enough.
These protectors are made to be the sacrificial layer between your investment and the fun stuff.
